Reputation Advisor product explainer
How the AI Reputation Advisor works
Reputation Advisor's AI Advisor is a starting point for finding the kind of reputation firm that may fit your situation. You describe the problem in plain language, answer optional follow-up questions, and receive a shortlist with match scores and explanations.
It is a decision aid, not a guarantee, legal opinion, or substitute for checking a firm's credentials and proposed work. You can start without providing contact information, but advisor messages are processed and stored with an anonymous conversation session so follow-up responses can use earlier context. Share only what is needed to describe the problem, and use the directory and methodology pages to make your own comparison.
The current advisor flow
- 1. Describe the situation — Start with the issue, goal, urgency, and any practical constraints that matter. Budget, timeline, geography, and whether the matter concerns a person or organization can make a recommendation more useful.
- 2. Answer up to five questions — The current advisor can continue the conversation for up to five user questions. The questions are there to clarify the work, not to collect a contact form. You may stop and use the directory or Concierge when that is more appropriate.
- 3. Review a score-sorted shortlist — The matching service compares your situation with the factual information in active firm profiles. When qualifying matches are available, it returns up to five firms with a match score and a plain-language reason; fewer or no matches can appear.
- 4. Do your diligence — Read the firm profile, ask about methods and limits, confirm the engagement terms, and decide whether to contact the firm. Reputation Advisor does not make the hiring decision for you.
What the matching service evaluates
The service is designed to compare factual fit and confidence in the available profile information. Relevant context can include the requested service, specialty, industry, client type, geography, budget or timeline, stated goals, case-study context, and other profile details.
The model output is validated, filtered for valid firms and scores, sorted by score, and limited to the strongest qualifying results. A score is a comparison signal for this request—not a success probability, quality rating, or promise that a firm will accept the engagement.
- Every active firm is considered; a subscription tier is not used to decide which firms enter the comparison.
- A richer factual profile can give the service more context, but profile length alone is not a ranking reward.
- Reputation Advisor's review process is a modest confidence signal about the firm and the profile information it could review. It is not an external audit, endorsement, or guarantee of results.
- Broad promises to remove content are treated cautiously because removal is often difficult or unavailable.
Paid visibility is separate from AI matching
Paid participation never buys a higher AI match score or a better recommendation. Subscription tier is intentionally unavailable to the matching model, so a Basic firm can be recommended ahead of a paid firm when its factual fit is stronger.
Showcase and Enterprise firms may receive paid priority visibility in relevant specialty directory pages, where that placement is disclosed as Showcase. That commercial placement is separate from the neutral AI shortlist. The Verified label is also separate: payment funds participation in Reputation Advisor's review process, but does not guarantee the label or keep it after substantiated concerns.
- AI shortlist: ordered by the fit and confidence signals used for this request.
- Directory Showcase: paid visibility on relevant specialty pages, clearly labeled.
- Verified: a modest confidence signal from Reputation Advisor's review process, not an external audit or promise of outcomes.
Privacy and sensible limits
No contact information is required to start a search. Advisor messages are processed by the configured AI service and stored with an anonymous conversation session for follow-up responses. A signed, anonymous session cookie keeps one browser's conversation records separate from another's and is configured to expire after 30 days. Avoid entering passwords, financial account details, privileged legal communications, or identifying information about another person that is not needed for the question. Review the Privacy Policy before sharing sensitive circumstances; the advisor is not an attorney-client or absolute-confidentiality channel.
The advisor does not create attorney-client privilege, control what a third party publishes, or know facts that are not in your description and the available firm profiles. A match can be incomplete, a firm can decline a matter, and circumstances can change. Verify important claims directly and seek legal, safety, or crisis specialists where the situation calls for them.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does paying a firm improve its AI match?
No. Subscription tier is not provided to the matching model and paid participation cannot buy a higher match score. Paid Showcase visibility on specialty directory pages is a separate, disclosed placement option.
What does Verified mean in a match?
Verified means Reputation Advisor's review process found enough support for a modest confidence signal about the firm and the profile information it could review. It is not an external audit, endorsement, or guarantee of a result, and payment alone does not guarantee the label or continued status.
Do I need to submit my email to get matches?
No contact information is required to search, but the messages you enter are still processed and stored with an anonymous conversation session. Describe only what is necessary, avoid sensitive secrets, and review the Privacy Policy if you need to understand how information is handled.
What should I do if no firm looks like a fit?
Try clarifying the service, urgency, geography, or goal, or browse the full directory. You can also submit a Concierge intake when you prefer human help; review its privacy terms before sharing sensitive details. No result is a useful signal that the available profiles may not cover your situation well enough for a responsible recommendation.
